Confirm whether it is 1.5", 2", 3", or deeper; whether it is Verco, Vulcraft, or equivalent; and whether the flute direction relative to framing supports the intended span and attachment. Verify narrow-rib or wide-rib profile, and check whether equivalent substitution is acceptable to the EOR.

Gauge / Thickness

Gauge directly drives both material cost and span tables. Confirm whether the project uses 16, 18, 20, or 22 gauge, whether gauges vary by zone, and whether the gauge shown on SD drawings matches the structural calculations.

Composite floor deck with embossments requires a different product and pricing than non-composite. Confirm the designation in the structural notes and whether shear stud installation is included in the deck sub’s scope or handled by the steel fabricator or erector.
